Magnum PACS

A fully scalable end-to-end imaging and storage solution for medical facilities of all sizes

HealthFore’s Magnum PACS is an American FDA certified enterprise-class Picture Archival & Communication System (PACS) solution with IHE, DICOM 3.0 & HL-7 Compliance. It offers a comprehensive & fully-integrated web-based digital imaging & information solution for hospitals, clinics & diagnostic centres. This versatile solution enables medical facilities to acquire, distribute, store & display medical images & diagnostic reports. A completely web-based system, Magnum PACS can be securely monitored and configured at run time. It seamlessly integrates images from multiple modalities with clinical patient data, streamlining radiology department workflow and improving the radiologist's efficiency. The system also provides referring physicians with patient images as part of a complete medical record, thus providing a holistic view of patient data and providing insights, as opposed to simple information.

Whether it's a small diagnostic centre or an enterprise-class hospital, Magnum PACS can be scaled to suit all requirements.

Simplification & streamlining of workflow

Magnum PACS offers a centralised storage solution for studies and reports for all the existing modalities at the hospital. As soon as the images are acquired by the modalities, they are automatically sent to the central server through DICOM 3.0 protocol. The images are archived on the PACS archive and can then be viewed at the radiologist’s workstation for reporting. Caregivers can log onto any computer in the hospital with network/internet access and use the web viewer to review patient studies, thus streamlining workflow and increasing data-sharing.

Anytime, anywhere image access:

Magnum PACS also includes Magnum PACS Lite – a web viewer which allows the radiologist to access diagnostic quality images at the point-of-care as well as through remote access. Magnum PACS Lite is a Rich Internet Application, which requires only a web browser (such as Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher, Mozilla Firefox, or Opera) to view and manipulate diagnostic images.

End-user cost reduction:

Magnum PACS offers a complete digital imaging & storage solutions, thereby significantly reducing not only the use of film but also associated cost such as film handling and chemical cost, that is used in making such films.Magnum PACS is completely platform-independent in terms of the server’s operating system, data base, and hardware. This means it needs only a simple retasking of the hospital’s existing hardware, thereby reducing end-user deployment costs and providing a high degree of deployment flexibility.

A highly secure, certified system:

Magnum PACS is fully HIPPA Compliant and incorporates 128–bit SSL security for data transmission over the internet/intranet, making for a high level of security.

Flexible, structured reporting:

Magnum PACS reduces reporting turnaround time through structured, template-based reporting.

Administrator friendly:

Being a core Web-based application, Magnum PACS allows authorised administrators to make DICOM/HL-7 service configuration changes from anywhere over the web in real time. Configuration parameters can be securely accessed, edited, and monitored over the internet.
