Mediphone

With a vision to transform healthcare and make it affordable, accessible Religare Technologies, in strategic alliance with Bharti Airtel, brings Mediphone, a 24X7 “Doctor on Phone”, a health care advice service on the mobile phone. This service is being introduced with Fortis Healthcare as our medical knowledge partner & backed by a credible software engine licensed from Medibank, Australia (erstwhile McKesson Asia-Pacific).

 

Mediphone aims to provide best-in-class tele-triage services to its customers by leveraging mobile technology and providing a convenient platform to the healthcare ecosystem to deliver quality healthcare services. World over tele-triage services have been running very successfully.

 

Through this service an airtel customer can call and speak to credited Doctors and Health officers, and avail reliable quality health care advice on their mobile phone anytime, anywhere. To access this service the customer simply has to call 54445 from his / her mobile phone and an IVR will connect him / her to a qualified Doctor, health officer.

  • Triage is a process of determining the priority of patient’s treatment based on the severity of their condition.
  • Tele triage is a safe and effective way of providing health – related advice delivered by health care professionals via the telephone.

 

MediPhone is a 24X7 “Doctor on Phone” service which empowers you to consult a doctor over the phone no matter where you are. The services to be offered under “Mediphone” includes:

  • Medical advice including self care, doctor’s consultation and/or medication
  • Emergency assessment & advice
  • Emergency referral –warm transfer (transfer the call & connect to emergency services), Medical service providers like ambulance services, Emergency services, Hospitals and diagnostic centers.
  • Qualified medical professionals & doctors, to assess & ensure right diagnosis
  • Robust software, internationally tested for last 20 years, customized for Indian Conditions.
  • SMS of the advice offered will be sent to the customers. After validation by qualified MBBS doctors

 

Airtel customers need to call the mediphone short code 54445. Religare technologies trained doctors and health officers will attend the calls and assess the symptoms to give appropriate health advice.

 

The cost of each consultation is 35 only (Introductory offer) and the charges are reflected in your bill (postpaid) or deducted from account balance (prepaid).

 

The health officers receiving the call will have a minimum qualification of Bachelor of Science (Nursing), Bachelor of Pharmacy or Diploma in Pharmacy/BDS/BHMS. Doctors operating as team leaders will have a minimum qualification of MBBS/MD or MS. They will have minimum experience of one year in providing medical care.
